Post-divorce mediation is a process where divorced parents or former spouses return to mediation after the divorce has already been finalized to resolve new disputes, adjust agreements, or improve co-parenting arrangements. Life changes after divorce and sometimes the original agreements no longer work.
About Me
“Hi, I am Lavinia Whiteboy and for more than 25 years, I have walked alongside families during some of the most painful and emotionally overwhelming moments of their lives. For 18 of those years, I worked within the Children’s Court and Divorce Court system, witnessing firsthand the heartbreak, fear, conflict, and financial pressure that so many families endure during separation and divorce. I saw parents who felt lost and unheard. I saw children caught in the middle of conflict, they never asked for.
I saw families spending enormous amounts of money on legal battles while desperately searching for guidance, understanding, and peace. That is why I chose a different path. I became an independent Family Law Mediator, because I believe families deserve more than endless court battles and expensive legal fees. They deserve support, clarity, compassion, and solutions that protect what matters most, their children, their dignity, and their future. With everything I learned during my years in the justice system, I founded LW Mediation Services over 8 years ago with one clear mission:
To help families navigate conflict with understanding, fairness, and the right guidance every step of the way. As a mediator, I do not take sides, but I will always stand for the best interests of your minor children and ensure that their voices are never forgotten in family disputes.
Mediation has taught me that behind every divorce or family conflict are people carrying pain, fear, disappointment, and uncertainty. Most importantly, it has taught me that with the right support, respectful communication, and proper guidance, families can find healthier resolutions without destroying each other in the process.
